Hello everyone! My name is Hannah Kiritsy, and I am a new graduate Labor and Delivery nurse. A little over a year ago, while in nursing school, I had the opportunity to visit the rural highlands of Guatemala. During my time there, I witnessed the harsh realities of maternal and neonatal care and was inspired by the dedication of the midwives, nurses, and staff at the local Casa Materna—community-built, culturally sensitive maternity centers that provide skilled care, health education, and support through women’s care groups.
This experience shaped my career in Labor and Delivery and motivated me to stay involved with Impact Global Health Alliance, volunteering and raising funds each year through the Mom-A-Thon. This organization supports mothers and children in Guatemala, Togo, Kenya, Bolivia, and Haiti, working to lower maternal and neonatal mortality and improve health outcomes in these communities. Every donation, no matter the size, makes a meaningful difference, your support truly means the world! 💙
